LONDON, May 5: After nearly four years of estrangement, Prince William and Princess Kate are reportedly open to reconciling with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with a source revealing their motivation is to mend fences for the sake of their children.

An anonymous insider disclosed to Us Weekly that William and Kate are eager to establish a relationship with Meghan and Harry and are determined not to let animosity persist into the next generation. “They want a relationship with Meghan and Harry, and they don’t want the acrimony to carry over to the next generation,” the source emphasized.

Similarly, the insider noted that Meghan and Harry share the desire for their children to have a bond with their cousins. “Obviously, the Duke and Duchess want their kids to have a relationship with their cousins,” the source added.

With William and Kate raising Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, and Harry and Meghan parenting Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the stakes for familial harmony are high.

Prince Harry’s impending return to the UK for the 10th anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games has sparked speculation about a possible reunion with William and Kate. However, a source informed The Mirror that the likelihood of a face-to-face meeting remains slim due to the strained relationship. “Their relationship remains extremely fractured. Harry has privately expressed a wish to sit down with his brother but now is not the time,” the source stated.

Amidst rumors of reconciliation, Harry is expected to stay at a hotel during his UK visit, as the royals have not extended an invitation to stay at any of their residences. This echoes his previous decision to lodge at a hotel during a trip in February following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

While it’s uncertain whether Harry will meet with Charles during his brief stay in the UK, a friend told The Daily Beast that Charles is eager to rebuild his relationship with Harry, a sentiment William understands. “Cancer puts things in perspective,” the friend noted. “William respects his father’s wish to reconcile with his son, but his focus now is on protecting his family from stressful situations.”
