Municipality vehicle picks up an abandoned car

KUWAIT CITY, March 28: The Municipal Services Audit and Follow-up Department in Capital Municipality launched an inspection campaign on commercial shops to ensure validity of licenses, during which 53 citations were issued and 177 violating advertisements were removed, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press statement, Director of the department Iman Al-Kandari said the campaign was aimed at curbing violations. She explained that the violations included display of unlicensed advertisements, non-renewal of licenses and lack of putting an identification advertisement on activities. Al-Kandari urged shop owners to renew expired advertisement licenses and avoid putting up advertisements without licenses.

Meanwhile, the Public Sanitation and Road Works Department in Jahra Municipality carried out an inspection campaign that targeted abandoned cars and the cars displayed for sale in Jahra area, during which 988 abandoned vehicles were seized.
