KUWAIT CITY, May 5: A Kuwait Airways flight, returning from Bangkok, faced a delay attributed to a disruptive altercation among passengers. Kuwait Airways Company clarified that the flight was delayed due to an altercation that erupted among certain passengers.

The incident prompted the pilot to adhere to security protocols by returning the aircraft to the airport, reports Al-Jarida daily . The Public Prosecution took action by ordering the detention of female citizens involved in the altercation. Charges were pressed against them for instigating violence aboard the aircraft, with two individuals resisting authority.

Notably, one of the individuals was the plane’s security officer, whom they reportedly insulted while exhibiting abnormal behavior. Concerns for the safety and security of passengers and the aircraft prompted the decision to return to Bangkok International Airport.

The Public Prosecution conducted interrogations and issued orders for further examination of two of the accused individuals by the General Department of Criminal Evidence. Kuwait Airways emphasized its commitment to taking decisive legal action against violators. It underscored the importance of all passengers adhering to company security procedures and international laws to ensure the safety of everyone onboard. The airline expressed gratitude to passengers for their understanding and cooperation during the incident.
