LOS ANGELES, Jan 29, (Agencies): Contrary to earlier reports circulating on Sunday, it has been confirmed that Taylor Swift will not be gracing the stage at the 66th annual GRAMMY Awards. Although the 34-year-old “Karma” singer will be present at the Feb 4 award show, she won’t be performing due to her tight schedule, as she’s set to swiftly resume her record-breaking Eras Tour on the other side of the globe.

Despite being nominated for six awards for her album “Midnights,” Swift’s commitment to her world tour takes precedence. Following the GRAMMYs, she will swiftly depart for Tokyo, Japan, where she is scheduled to perform four consecutive sold-out shows in the following days.

During the announcement of the nominations in November, Swift, who was touring in Argentina at the time, expressed her gratitude to fans for their overwhelming support. Holding up six fingers, she acknowledged her album’s success and the six GRAMMY nominations it received, playfully thanking her fans for making it happen.

The highly competitive GRAMMY categories include contenders like Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, and Lana Del Rey in major categories such as Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Swift, a 12-time GRAMMY winner, and 52-time nominee, is vying for awards in Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album.

The 2024 GRAMMY Awards will be hosted once again by comedian and former The Daily Show host Trevor Noah. The live broadcast from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles will be available on CBS and Paramount+, with Showtime users able to tune in on Sunday, Feb 4 at 8 pm EST.
