KUWAIT CITY, April 23: Drake has reignited the feud, dropping another diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar while name-dropping Taylor Swift once more.
In his latest song titled "Taylor Made Freestyle," released on Instagram Friday, April 19, Drake takes more shots at Lamar while referencing Swift, suggesting she's the reason for Lamar's delayed response to his previous diss track "Push Ups."
The lyrics imply frustration over Lamar's alleged scheduling conflicts caused by Swift, with Drake rapping, "But now we gotta wait a f---ing week 'cause Taylor Swift is your new Top."
However, Drake also seemingly acknowledges Swift's influence in the music industry, giving her a backhanded compliment: "Yeah, shout out to Taylor Swift, biggest gangster in the music game right now."
This isn't the first time Swift's name has popped up in their feud. In "Push Ups," Drake mocked Lamar's collaboration with Swift, rapping, "Maroon 5 need a verse you better make it witty/You only need a verse for the Swifties."
Drake's diss track arrives following Lamar's recent collaboration with Future and Metro Boomin on "Like That," where Lamar distanced himself from Drake's level of success.
In a unique twist, the song features AI-generated verses from Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg, with Shakur advising Lamar on his response and Snoop Dogg delivering a critique.
While Swift hasn't publicly responded to her mention in the song, Snoop Dogg took to Instagram, appearing to find humor in his AI-generated vocals being used.
As the feud continues to unfold, fans eagerly await Lamar's response while Drake remains vocal about his frustrations, signaling that tensions between the two musicians are far from over.
