BANGKOK, April 27: Asia has reaffirmed its trust in Sheikh Khaled Al-Bader Al-Sabah to lead the Asian Swimming Sports Federations (AASF) for a second term. This decision was made during the Asia Swimming Federation’s General Assembly meeting held in Bangkok, Thailand.

With 42 countries in attendance, Sheikh Al-Bader received an overwhelming 40 votes, with one rejection and one abstention.

Attendees unanimously agreed on the necessity of Sheikh Khaled Al-Bader Al-Sabah continuing as President of the Federation, recognizing his significant contributions to the promotion and advancement of water sports across Asia.

In response, Sheikh Khaled Al-Bader Al-Sabah expressed gratitude to the political leadership, including His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti people for their support in securing Kuwait’s victory in this position.

He conveyed his happiness at the vote of confidence from the General Assembly, emphasizing that it signifies not just an honor but a duty to serve. He emphasized Kuwait’s prominent position in Asian sports and highlighted the Kuwaiti people’s ability to set an exemplary standard through hard work and dedication.

Sheikh Al-Bader extended his appreciation to those who entrusted him with this responsibility and pledged to work tirelessly to meet their expectations, pledging to contribute to the advancement of water sports throughout Asia in the coming term.
