AAM, Kuwait hosts 12th Free Medical Camp

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: In a significant healthcare initiative, the 12th Free Medical Camp was recently organized by the Anti-Alcoholism Movement (AAM), a spiritual organization affiliated with St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church.

The event, conducted at the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Integrated Indian School, featured collaboration with prominent medical associations, including the Kuwait Medical Association, Indian Doctors Forum, Kuwait Heart Foundation, and Indian Dental Alliance.

The comprehensive medical camp provided free consultations from expert doctors spanning diverse specialties such as General Medicine, Oncology, Gynecology, Dermatology, Orthopedics, ENT, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Urology, Ophthalmology, and Dental care. Attendees were also offered complimentary diagnostic tests, including ECG, ultrasound scanning, blood sugar, blood pressure, eye examinations, and visual acuity tests.

The commencement of the camp’s activities was overseen by Dr. Sameer Humad, Vice President of the IDF. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Rev. Dr. Biju Goerge Parackal, President of the Anti-Alcoholism Movement and Vicar of St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church.

Dr. Humad officially initiated the medical camp and guided the proceedings. Camp Coordinator Ebey Samuel extended a warm welcome, while Secretary Roy N. Koshi expressed gratitude for the successful collaboration.

The event witnessed the participation of esteemed individuals, including IDF Community Secretary Dr. Syed Mahmood Rahman, Dr. Raghunandan, IDAC Community Welfare Committee Chairman Dr. Prashanthi, Rev. Fr. Liju K. Ponnachan (Associate Vicar, St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church), Trustee Joji P. John, Secretary Jiju P. Simon, and Samuel Kattoorkalikal, Vice-President of the Anti-Alcoholism Movement.

Drawing a diverse turnout of over 500 people from various nationalities residing in Kuwait, the medical camp delivered crucial healthcare services to the community, underscoring its dedication to public welfare and well-being.
