KUWAIT CITY, May 11: The Kuwait Cancer Control Center has announced the commencement of its 12th Colorectal Cancer Surgery Workshop, scheduled to begin tomorrow, Sunday, at the Center's Oncology Surgery Department. The workshop, which will span five days, is being held under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, the Minister of Health.

Dr. Medhat Oteifa, an oncology surgery consultant at the center, revealed in a press statement today, Saturday, that the workshop will witness the participation of a distinguished cohort of international doctors specializing in colorectal cancer surgeries. These esteemed professionals will conduct several surgeries on patients during the workshop, aiming to impart their expertise and insights.

Furthermore, Dr. Oteifa highlighted that the workshop will focus on performing surgical operations utilizing laparoscopic techniques on patients afflicted with colorectal tumors. The objective behind these surgical procedures is to enhance the skills and knowledge of Kuwaiti doctors while fostering scientific dialogue and exchange with their international counterparts.
