Made in Kuwait Liquor Ring: Six Arrested in Security Sweep

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 6: In a recent operation, six expats were arrested for their involvement in the production and trading of locally manufactured liquor. The law enforcement authorities discovered a stash of 58 barrels filled with liquor, 178 bottles of alcohol prepared for sale, and undisclosed amounts of money derived from the illegal trade.

The vigilant efforts of the Criminal Security Sector, spearheaded by the General Department of Criminal Investigation (Criminal Investigation and Licensing Department), led to the arrest of four individuals engaged in the production and trade of locally produced liquor in an apartment in the Salmiya area, they were found in possession of 58 barrels filled with liquor and 76 bottles of alcohol prepared for sale. Additionally, a sum of money obtained from the illicit transactions was seized.

The Al-Ahmadi Governorate Investigation Department also played a crucial role by apprehending two individuals involved in the sale of locally made liquor. The law enforcement authorities discovered 102 bottles containing locally made liquor ready for sale, along with a sum of money acquired from the unlawful transactions.

All apprehended individuals, along with the confiscated items, have been referred to the competent authority for further legal action. Stringent measures are expected to be taken against them by the law.
