The match marked the commencement of the second division of the tournament, where Al-Qadisiya also secured a hard-fought win against Kazma with a narrow margin of 73-71.

With this triumph, Al-Abyad elevated their tally to 8 points, leading ahead of Al-Qadisiya with 7 points, followed by Kazma with 5 points and Al-Arabi with 4 points.

The semi-finals are slated to take place in a league format across two divisions. Subsequently, the top-ranked team from the first division will clash with the fourth-ranked team, while the second-ranked team will face off against the third-ranked team in the semi-finals. These matches will adopt a “play-off” system consisting of three matches, with the team securing two wins advancing to the final, which will follow the same format.

The intensity of the second encounter was palpable from the outset, with both teams exchanging leads until the midway point of the first quarter. Eventually, the advantage tilted towards the Orange team, leveraging the prowess of their American professional, Clint Chapman, to conclude the quarter with a score of 18-12.

Kazma maintained control in the second quarter, propelled by Ahmed Al Balushi’s stellar leadership in offensive maneuvers, complemented by the contributions of Americans Chapman and Leslie under the basket. Despite this, the Yellow team’s hastened offensive efforts resulted in a halftime score of 34-26 in favor of the Orange team.

However, Al-Qadisiya staged a remarkable comeback in the third quarter, with their American professional, Robert Lowry, showcasing exceptional shooting from beyond the arc, alongside Muhammad Ashkanani’s prowess under the basket. This resurgence narrowed the gap to just one point by the end of the third quarter, with the score standing at 51-52.

The final quarter witnessed heightened excitement and intense competition, with both sides exchanging leads until Al-Qadisiya ultimately secured victory with a final score of 73-71.
