Kuwait and South Korea battle to a 27-27 stalemate

MANAMA, Jan 19 (KUNA): Kuwait experienced a 27-27 draw against South Korea during the second round of the 2024 Asian Men’s Handball Championship, in Bahrain. The initial half concluded with South Korea leading 12-10, but Kuwait successfully narrowed the gap, resulting in an evenly contested match.
Simultaneously, in the same round, Qatar secured a victory against Iran with a score of 27-23. Looking ahead, Kuwait is set to face Iraq on Sunday.
The tournament is structured with Group A consisting of Qatar, the UAE, Iran, and Japan, while Group B includes Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, and South Korea. The top four teams from both groups will qualify for the 2025 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship, scheduled to take place in Croatia, Denmark, and Norway from January 14 to February 2, 2025.
