Kazma faces tough competition as draw for Arab Club Volleyball Championship held

MANAMA, Jan 14: The draw for the 42nd Men’s Arab Club Championship took place at the Arab Volleyball Federation’s headquarters in Bahrain. The championship is set to be hosted in the Jordanian capital, Amman, from February 17 to 29, featuring the participation of 13 clubs.

During the draw, the Kazma team, representing Kuwait, was placed in the third group alongside Iraq’s North Masafi clubs and Jordan’s Shabab Al Hussein. The first group consists of Al-Seeb (Oman), Al-Shorta (Qatar), and Baniyas (the Emirates), while the second group includes Dar Kulaib (Bahrain), Qatar (Qatar), and Al-Suwaihli (Libya). The fourth group comprises of Iraqi Southern Gas, Libyan People of Benghazi, Jordanian Youth of Ayra, and Bahraini Star.

The draw was overseen by Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the President of the Arab and Bahraini Volleyball Federations. Present at the event were Jihad Qsheitat, the Vice President of the Arab and Jordanian Volleyball Federation, Ibrahim Al-Muqbali, the Vice President and President of the Arab Federation, Abdullah Al-Ghurair, the Secretary of the Kuwaiti Federation, and Firas Al-Halwaji, the Secretary-General of the Arab Federation. Notably, the Kuwaiti Burgan team opted to withdraw from the tournament before the draw ceremony.
