Automated system for social dev centers launched

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: As part of ongoing efforts to track down those behind the fake credentials scandal and to protect public funds, Director of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Ahmad Al-Jassar issued a circular requiring employees to submit information or details regarding the high academic degrees they obtained while working in governmental institutions without study leave and prior to approval of the change in designation, reports Al-Qabas daily.

In his decision, Al-Jassar stressed the need for governmental institutions to look into the credentials of employees before taking any decision concerning the change of designation. He also emphasized the significance of determining the highest academic qualification obtained by the employees – whether bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree – during the period of service without obtaining scholarship or study leave. He added the aforementioned information should be submitted along with the fingerprint attendance details, salaries and bonuses that the employees received in accordance with the CSC’s system.

Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Administrative Development Affairs and acting Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs in the Ministry of Social Affairs Hassan Kazem has announced the launching of the automated system for social development centers, including the application for online reservation of wedding halls, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Speaking to the daily, Kazem confirmed the Society Development Department recently opened the door for reserving wedding halls. He also announced the launching of a private service for obtaining priority cards for the elderly within two weeks.
