Al-Qadisiya, Kuwait Club, Al-Arabi and Kazma brace for Super Cup showdown

Ibrahim and Al-Shatti are the most notable absences from Al-Qadisiya team.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: Al-Qadisiya, Kuwait Club, Al-Arabi, and Kazma clubs are intensifying their final preparations for the upcoming Super Cup semi-final matches scheduled for tomorrow. The matchups will feature the teams in white and yellow, and green and orange, with the ultimate showdown slated for the 26th of this month.

As the four clubs gear up for the crucial encounters, they are grappling with significant player absences. Al-Qadisiya faces the absence of team captain and center back Khaled Ibrahim due to a muscle injury. However, the medical staff has indicated that Ibrahim could participate in the Super Final if the Yellows qualify. Faisal Al-Shatti, Muhammad Khalil, and Abdulaziz Wadi are also sidelined for the team.

Al-Qadisiya is banking on a strong performance against Kuwait to reclaim the team’s glory lost in the last two matches, especially since their defeat to Al-Arabi in the semi-finals of the Amir Cup.In Kuwait  Club’s camp, goalkeeper Abdul Rahman Kamil is nearing a return to official matches as his qualifying program approaches completion. The technical staff, led by Tunisian coach Nabil Maaloul, is working on preparing Kamil and the Congolese Mbinza for the upcoming clash against Al-Qadisiya.

Kuwait Club is set to welcome back Amr Abdel Fattah, who missed the Al-Fahaheel match due to suspension in the league championship. Meanwhile, Yassin Al-Khanisi remains absent due to injury.Kazma is facing the challenge of missing Shabib Al-Khalidi, a key player, due to a muscle injury. His participation appears doubtful, with a consensus on the need for careful preparation to avoid aggravating the injury.

In Al-Arabi, Badr Tariq joins the list of injured players, alongside Saif Al-Hashan, Hassan Hamdan, and Sultan Al-Anazi. Bosnian coach Darko is considering seeking assistance from Abdul Rahman Al-Dhafiri, who was absent from recent matches due to Darko’s strategic vision.
