Kuwait’s Al-Fadhli wins ‘bronze’ at 22th Arab Athletics Championship

TUNIS, June 17, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Ibrahim Al-Fadhli won the bronze at the 22th Arab Athletics Championship at the shot put contest held in Tunisia with the participation of 20 Arab teams. Head of the Kuwaiti delegation Faisal Al-Dasm congratulated al- Fadhli on this victory, expecting that the Kuwaiti athletes will bag further medals. In a statement to KUNA, he said despite the coronavirus, the championship is characterized by a strong competition amongst the Arab athletes vying for the positions qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics. He thanked Tunisia for the good organizing; saying that such tournaments and competitions will help the Kuwaiti athletes gain further expertise. The tourney kicked off earlier in the day, with the participation of more than 400 male and female athletes.
