Wages between public, private sector must be bridged

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: A recent report by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) stated that Kuwait should create 100,000 new job opportunities in the period 2020-2025, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The sources indicated that the best is to create those opportunities in the private sector, as the government should encourage the emergence of a vibrant non-oil sector.

The sources added, in order to achieve a balance towards increasing the employment of Kuwaitis in the private sector, the large gap between public and private sector wages must be bridged and accompanied by educational reforms to address the problem of mismatch between education outcomes and the labor market
