Families seek end to campsite wild parties – Video clip goes viral, shows all

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17: A video clip showing a group of disoriented young men and women dancing to music in an indecent manner at a camping site has gone viral on social media. The youths in the video constituted nuisance to neighboring tents at the camp located in Juleia and disregarded the families occupying other tents. Sources said security operatives at the Operations Room have since received series of calls from the affected families and other campers who complained about negative phenomena happening around the place, and urged the ministry to set up checkpoints and patrol teams to parade the area against youthful exuberance.

Meanwhile, two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested near Umm Sdaira Center inside a prohibited area, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to the Public Relations and Security Media Department, border securitymen also arrested four other individuals who cut the iron fence between Umm Sdaira and Al-Sekhaibri centers for having a picnic in the area.

The department urged Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to be aware of the prohibited areas and stay away from them. And, firefighters from Hawally and Salmiya fire stations extinguished the fire that broke out in an apartment on the third floor of a nine-storey building in Jabriya.

In a press statement, acting Head of Salmiya Fire Station Major Yousef Al-Qallaf affirmed the firefighters were dispatched to the location immediately after receiving information on the fire incident. They carried out the operation without any record of injury or loss of life, but there were material losses. They started the operation by evacuating the occupants of the whole building.

Also, firemen from Failaka Marine Rescue Center extinguished a fire that broke out in a house in the area due to technical fault in the electric generator, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The firemen evacuated the house before containing the fi re. No human casualties or injuries were reported.
