Kuwait handball youth team heads to Morocco for the Arab Championship

Al-Nasr and Al-Fahaheel players battle for the ball.

KUWAIT CITY, April 18: Kuwait youth handball team is set to embark on a journey to Morocco to partake in the Sixth Arab Youth Championship, slated to take place from April 21 to 30. Led by Handball Federation Secretary General Qayed Al-Adwani, the delegation includes various officials and 18 players.

Five teams will compete in the Arab Youth Handball Championship: Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Algeria, and Kuwait. The Kuwaiti team will commence its matches against host Morocco on Sunday, followed by Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria.

In other news, Kazma secured a victory over Al-Tadamon with a score of 37-24 in the 11th round of the Handball League. Additional matches within the round saw Al-Nasr triumph over Al-Fahaheel and Al-Arabi defeating Sulaibikhat.

Kazma currently holds the third position with 16 points, while Al-Tadamon trails at the bottom of the standings. Al-Nasr ranks seventh with 11 points, Al-Fahaheel ninth with eight points, Al-Arabi fourth with 16 points, and Al-Sulaibkhat sixth with 11 points.

The round concludes today with two matches: Al-Salmiya, leading with 17 points, will face Khaitan, while Kuwait Club, second with 16 points, will compete against Yarmouk.
