The Meteorological Department issued a weather advisory for strong winds and reduced visibility until 11.00 pm in Kuwait.

KUWAIT CITY, April 29: The Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory today, warning residents of potentially hazardous weather conditions in the region. According to the advisory, wind activity is expected to intensify, possibly exceeding speeds of 60 kilometers per hour. This surge in wind velocity may result in the dispersal of dust particles, significantly reducing horizontal visibility to less than 1,000 meters in certain areas.

In addition to the strong winds and reduced visibility, there is a possibility of scattered rain showers throughout the advisory. These showers may be accompanied by thunderstorms, further exacerbating the prevailing weather conditions and leading to an escalation in wind activity.

Furthermore, the Meteorological Department has highlighted concerns regarding sea conditions, forecasting waves of more than 6 feet in height. Residents are advised to exercise caution, particularly those involved in maritime activities, as rough seas pose a potential risk to navigation and watercraft safety.

The duration of the weather advisory has been set at 14 hours, with the advisory period concluding at 11:00 pm. Residents are urged to stay informed about updates from official sources and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period of adverse weather conditions.
