Crackdown on dens of vice, online ‘hooking’ intensified

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 18: Director General of the Public Relations and Security Media Department in the Ministry of Interior Brigadier Adel Al- Hashash has affirmed that the ministry continues its campaigns targeting suspicious places to pursue those promoting indecency and vices, reports Al- Rai daily.

In a press statement, Al-Hashash disclosed the ministry regularly monitors all advertisements promoting indecency and vices on social networking sites. He stressed, “Security agencies are closely following up the activities of those who publish such advertisements through the Internet or smart phones, in addition to conducting raids or surprise inspection campaigns to arrest all those behind such acts.”

He confirmed the police officers are exhausting all means to uncover vice dens and to arrest all those involved regardless of their nationality. The press statement is in response to the headline of the daily on Aug 6, 2016 — “Brothels under surveillance”
