Al-Qadisiya and Burgan secure victories in the handball league

Khaitan’s Nasser Al-Enezi tries to score against Al-Qadisiya.

KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Al-Qadisiya and Burgan secured victories, concluding the tenth week of the Handball League. Al-Qadisiya triumphed over Khaitan 32-27, while Burgan defeated Yarmouk 26-21. These matches took place at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex.

As the tenth round wraps up, Al-Salmiya leads the standings with 17 points from 10 matches, followed by Kuwait Club with 16 points from nine games. Kazma and Al-Arabi share the third spot with 14 points each, while Al-Qadisiya ranks fifth with 13 points. Al-Sulaibkhat holds the sixth position with 11 points, followed by Burgan with 10 points and Al-Nasr with nine. Al-Fahaheel has eight points, Al-Qurain seven, and Al-Yarmouk five, while Khaitan trails at four points. Al-Sahel and Al-Tadamon occupy the bottom spots in the league standings.

Today marks the start of the eleventh round of competitions with three matches. At 4:30 p.m., Kazma will face Al-Tadamon in what is expected to be a straightforward match for the “Orange” team. Following that, at 6:30 p.m., Al-Fahaheel will go head-to-head with Al-Nasr in what promises to be an evenly-matched encounter. The day’s matches will conclude at 8:30 p.m. with a showdown between Al-Arabi and Sulaibikhat, anticipated to be a closely contested affair.

The 11th-round matches will continue until next Friday, with the league expected to run until May 2nd. “Postponed” matches are scheduled for Tuesday, the 23rd, and Saturday, the 27th of this month.
