Shooting champ’ship ‘continues’ until Sat

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Shooting Championship will continue for the second day on Friday, Oct 21 at 9 am at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Range.

According to a press release, several sharpshooters from various clubs, the National Guard, Army and Police, and counterparts from Bahrain and UAE will raise the level of stiff competitions in the men and women trap and skeet shooting competitions. Other events of the day include 10-meter women air pistol and gun and 50-meter men reclining gun competitions.

The competition started on Thursday with a 10-meter men air gun shooting, 10-meter men air pistol and men double trap categories.

According to the Secretary General of Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Associations Obaid Al-Osaimi, the championship will continue until Saturday when the prize giving ceremony will be held to distribute medals and cups to winners.

Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah will represent the Crown Prince at the event to be held at 5:30 pm at the same venue.
