Rape bid on European woman foiled

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: A European woman lodged a complaint against an unknown individual who attempted to molest and rape her after which he pursued her in Salmiya area. According to the police report, the woman explained that an unknown individual touched her inappropriately and attempted to rape her but she fought back and escaped.

The assailant chased her but when she started screaming for help, he fled from the scene. She provided securitymen with the description of the assailant, using which they have launched investigations to find and arrest the suspect.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti woman accused her former husband of attempting to rape her in Qairawan area. A case was registered against the suspect and securitymen have summoned him for interrogations. In another development, a drunken bus driver was arrested in possession of a bottle of locally manufactured liquor.
