Kuwait Minister dismisses shirking “political duties” on recent downpour

KUWAIT, Nov 9 (KUNA) — Kuwaiti Minister of Public Works Hussam Al-Roumi on Friday denied reports claiming that he is not politically responsible for the aftershocks of recent downpour in the country.
Al-Roumi, who doubles as Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, said in a statement that he would never shirk duties awarded to him by His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and which he vowed to respect before His Highness the Amir and parliament.
The minister, however, promised that he would bring to book all those found remiss in this regard, urging everyone to ensure news credibility
