Capital Boys Bowling Center Open tourney concludes

capitalboysIn line with the vision of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah to construct bowling centers in some high schools for boys and girls in each educational district, the first bowling hall was inaugurated at Ahmad Al-Bisher Al-Roomi High School in the Capital Educational District under the auspices of former Minister of Education and Higher Education Modi Al-Humoud and the attendance of a number of officials including the general supervisor of Physical Education for Boys on Dec 13, 2010.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Education affirmed its keenness to develop the skills of students in a holistic manner; hence, the idea of establishing bowling centers in public schools. The ministry explained that this is one way of giving the students an opportunity to engage in worthwhile activities during their free time in an enjoyable and entertaining manner.

Meanwhile, the closing ceremony for the Capital Boys Bowling Center’s Open Tournament, which is one of the activities of the schools’ evening clubs, was held recently under the patronage of Assistant Undersecretary Faisal Abdullah Al- Muqeisid, Director of the center Professor Khalid Mulla Jum’a and heads of the evening clubs. A total of 72 players aged 9-18 years old participated in the tournament that was exclusive for students in public schools. The winners will be honored at the national level for their great achievements and they will become members of Kuwait Bowling Federation
