Bid to combat human trafficking

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: “Kuwait has realized remarkable achievements in combating human trafficking and smuggling of immigrants, ensuring that human rights are observed. This has made the country an effective international member in the field of human rights,” reports Al-Qabas daily quoting Undersecretary of Ministry of Justice Abdullatif Al-Sare’a.

He stressed that a committee headed by the Minister of Justice Fahad Al-Afasi and comprising of representatives from various concerned governmental agencies has been formed to prepare a comprehensive strategy for combating human trafficking.

Al-Sare’a affirmed that the ministry is currently in a new era of electronic and digital transformation through provision of automated services, adding that they are racing against time to implement other egovernment systems in line with the directives of the leadership.
