MoF okays ‘Afiya 4’ tender for health insurance

KUWAIT CITY, April 18: The Ministry of Finance has approved the ‘Afiya 4’ tender for the health insurance of citizens at a cost of KD 273,600,000 for two years from the date of signing the contract; provided the value of the tender is reduced by 50 percent without affecting the medical services offered to beneficiaries, reports Al-Anba daily. Sources said the Ministry of Finance also set the condition for public hospitals and health centers to provide certain medical services to those covered by the insurance by the regulations. Sources added the Finance Ministry explained that the resulting financial coverage will be allocated as a discount in the Ministry of Health’s budget for fiscal 2024/2025 and the subsequent fiscal years.
