KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Kazma will go head-to-head with Arabi at the Al-Ittihad Hall within the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Hall Complex. This marks the commencement of the “Playoff” matches determining the third and fourth spots in the Basketball League. The league adopted the best of three for the series.

Meanwhile, Kuwait emerged as the champion of the Junior League (under 17 years) in basketball, triumphing over Al-Qurain, the runner-up, with a score of 92-82 in the final round held at the Al-Ittihad Hall. Al-Qadisiya secured third place by defeating Kazma in the same round with a score of 76-68.

The final round, set to commence next Friday, will see Kuwait facing off against Al-Qadisiyah, adopting a comparable format but extending over five matches.

Throughout this season, Al-Arabi and Kazma clashed four times, all resulting in favor of the “orange” team, yet the green team proved a formidable opponent in every encounter.

Al-Arabi aims to reclaim its spot on the podium by clinching third place, while Kazma endeavors to compensate for their absence in the final, having held second place in the preceding four editions.

Al-Arabi places its faith in Abdullah Salmeen, and Hussein Al-Khabaz, alongside Americans Kendall and Dembicki, whereas Kazma banks on the skills of Ahmed Al-Balushi, Abdulaziz Al-Hamidi, Youssef Bourahma, in addition to Americans Leslie and Chapman.
