KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27:Upon instructions issued by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al- Jarrah, the Interior Ministry organized security campaigns in several areas and arrested scores of people who were wanted by law, violators of residence and labor laws and drug addicts and seized from them various items used in committing crimes. The campaigns were supervised by the Undersecretary of the ministry Lieutenant-General Mahmoud Al- Dosari. All those arrested have been referred to the concerned authorities. Meanwhile, it has been reported three Kuwaitis were seized in Jahra for possessing unlicensed guns.
Deportee returns: An Asian expatriate, who was deported from Kuwait five years ago, was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to reenter Kuwait with a fake passport, says Al-Seyassah. According to sources from General Customs Department, customs officers were checking the passports of arriving passengers when they came across a fake passport owned by an Asian passenger. They checked his details and discovered that he was deported from Kuwait five years ago. He was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, Customs officers arrested an Arab expatriate at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle imitation watches into the country. When questioned, he confessed that he was planning to sell them in Kuwait. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action
