Maintain safety rules, KFSD warns Shuwaikh stores

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 20: Personnel from the Prevention Sector of the Kuwait Fire Services Directorate (KFSD) during a surprise inspection campaign inside the Shuwaikh Industrial Area have warned 3 stores that they will be administratively closed for not abiding by safety and fire prevention requirements, reports Al- Anba daily.

The sector has given the owners of the stores 72 hours to fall in line or face closure. The Department of Public Relations and Information of the KFSD said in a statement Wednesday the prevention sector had already notified the owners of the violations and had given ample time to correct the situation, but failure on the part of the concerned parties the prevention sector had to step in to protect the lives of people and property in line with the law
