Kuwaiti women team claim gold in 6th Shooting Grand Prix – Bahrain top 10-meter air rifle competition

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: Kuwaiti women team won gold medal in the trap shooting category in the ongoing His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sixth Shooting Grand Prix, which kicked off last Saturday at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad International Shooting Complex.

The team, consisting of Sarah and Shahad Al-Hawal and Asma Al-Qatami, managed to score 182 points. They were followed by Qatar’s women team in second position with 175 points, while the bronze medal was won by the Omani team with 158 points.

 In the 50-meter pistol competition for men, the Saudi team won gold medal, followed by Iraqi team in second place, and Kuwaiti team in third place.

In the 10-meter air rifle competition for men, Bahrain scored 1844.6 points to take gold medal, followed by Saudi Arabia taking the silver medal with 1841.7 points, and Oman in third place with total points of 1827.1.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sixth Shooting Grand Prix will continue today with the scheduled competitions, which include ten-meter pistol competition for men and skeet (75 targets) competition for women, in addition to official training session for 10-meter pistol competition for women.
