Customs foils Lebanese expat’s bid to smuggle in 350 grams of hashish

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 15: A Lebanese expatriate was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle 350 grams of hashish into the country.
In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the Public Relations and Security Media Department explained that Security Monitoring Unit of General Department for Airport Security received information that a passenger arriving to Kuwait from Beirut has drugs.
In coordination with the airport customs officers, the suspect was arrested upon arrival at Kuwait International Airport in possession of 350 grams of hashish. When questioned, he confessed that the hashish was intended for personal use. He was referred with the hashish to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
