Raids find cross-dressers, gays offering massage in health clubs

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1: Members of the joint committee from Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), Moral Detectives Department, and Ministry of Commerce and Industry raided health clubs for men where customers were enjoying relaxing massage services in the hands of gays.

Targeting health clubs in Farwaniya Governorate, the committee carried out the campaign after receiving a number of complaints from citizens on the alleged immoral activities in such places.

In an attempt to conceal the immoral activities, a suspected health club installed a signboard urging customers to strictly comply with Islamic regulations.

However, the committee found a cross dresser with full makeup inside the health club. Some health clubs resorted to deceiving methods like renting a separate fl at in the same building where they are located and the separate flat is used for indecent activities. The services they provide have evolved to the extent that they use chocolate and strawberry for massage sessions.

The committee had no recourse but to utilize certain tactics so one of its members pretended to be a customer. He was in constant communication with other members of the committee, informing them the right time to raid the erring health clubs.

Deputy Director General of Manpower Protection Department at PAM Abdullah Al-Mutawtah disclosed the committee will continue its campaign to track down all violating establishments. Al-Mutawtah said the recent campaign resulted in the arrest of two cross dressers and registration of several violations which were referred to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for action.
