THE resurgence of public demonstrations in many Iranian cities due to the deteriorating day-to-day living conditions which, in the first place, has already gotten worse, is not normal – simply because these demonstrations have not calmed down since the latter part of 2018. The waves of demonstrations faded for a short period but they came back stronger, while the series of Mullahs’ threats to the international community continued, causing more internal crises and increasing poverty rates to unprecedented levels in Iranian history.

During the demonstrations a couple of days ago, confrontation between the demonstrators and the semi-militant forces belonging to the regime was less violent, simply because starvation affects everybody. A securityman or a soldier cannot fire at hungry people, while he and his family are starving. A soldier does not find anything to eat in his military unit, while his commanders enjoy luxurious lifestyle in their isolated compounds away from the people who lost trust in them.

It would have been better if the Mullah regime saved itself from such a situation by adhering to international decisions and resolutions. On the contrary, the regime preferred manipulation even in the implementation of the nuclear treaty. US President Donald Trump exposed the loopholes of this treaty, including violations committed by the Iranian party and still committing until today. Despite the lies launched by the Iranian media machine in this regard, some senior Iranian officials fell into the trap as they have been boasting about producing 24 tons of uranium since the signing of the treaty. The treaty specified the permitted quantity of enriched uranium – 300 kilograms only.

Such behaviors made Iran lose the world’s trust. This is the reason why the United States of America refused to lift the sanctions if Iran signs the additional protocol in the 2015 agreement. America realized that such a step is illogical as long as the Iranian regime insists on political fraud in dealing with the issue.

Yes, pressure would have been lesser if the regime maintained good relations with its close neighbors and stopped interfering in the internal affairs of Arab countries under the pretext of supporting the oppressed while working on its expansion project in the Arab world.

The Iranian regime turned Lebanon into a failure State losing the world’s trust. It destroyed Iraq by supporting terrorist sectarian militants. It interfered in Syrian issues and waged war against the Yemenis when the latter rejected the rule of the Iranian tool – the Houthis. The Iranian attempts to disrupt security and stability in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other Arab countries continued, in addition to interference in the affairs of European Union countries and Latin America. Consequently, Arab countries are suspicious of the Iranian regime.

Today, the Mullah regime closed the last window of hope for the Iranians by continuing to disturb international security through oil tankers piracy. The regime imagines that by doing this, it can force the international community to submit to its demands. Actually, the regime will never reach such a target because fire caught its clothes and there is no way to escape.

We have said it many times; this regime does not learn from lessons of history, especially the Iraqi lesson. This regime should realize the fate of Saddam Hussein and Adolf Hitler. It seems the regime wants to repeat history by ignoring the available solutions – implement international resolutions and stop interfering in the internal affairs of other countries. This is the way to save its people from the crematory of starvation which, obviously, will not be away from leaders of the regime.
