‘Mercury of Jahra’ caught trafficking in drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Police have arrested an unidentified bedoun a.k.a. ‘Mercury of Jahra’ for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily.
A security source said the arrest came after the Farwaniya police received information about the illicit activity of the suspect, lay in ambush and caught him red-handed. In his attempt to escape, the bedoun failed to run over a policeman, and resisted arrest.
However, he was wrestled to the ground, handcuffed and taken to the area police station. Police seized from the youth’s car drug consuming tools, 9 sachets of meth and a piece of hashish. The contraband and the trafficker have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
