THE Prime Minister of Bahrain Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa is regarded as the main engine in the Bahraini development movement throughout the last five decades, as well as the top advocator of human development as the basis for the development of the society.

The reception he received from Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Essa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad as well as the people of Bahrain for his recovery and his safe return from the medical trip was on this basis.

He deserved such a reception due to the pioneering role he performed and continues to perform for his country and his people.

In the past ten years, Bahrain was in the midst of a major crisis that had threatened its existence. It was the detrimental interference of Iran in Bahrain which has been ongoing for nearly four decades. However, Prince Khalifa bin Salman worked tirelessly to address this fierce onslaught, seeking the support of the Bahrainis and the trust of King Hamad bin Essa. He was the architect on the frontline, leading Bahrain to escape the murky political water to become more powerful and stable than before.

The joy of his return was not limited in Bahrain alone. All the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are joyous as well. This is the result of the great place that Bahrain has in the hearts of the people of this region as well as because of this man’s presence in the Gulf conscience, his constant endeavor to elevate the position of the GCC, and his perseverance to strengthen the fraternal relations among all members of this council.

No one in Kuwait can forget the great role played by this great GCC nation during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. At that time, he had supported all GCC leaders especially the late Sheikh Essa bin Khalifa Al-Hamad who was deeply affected by what Kuwait was going through back then.

Sheikh Essa and Prince Khalifa bin Salman worked to welcome the Kuwaitis who took refuge in Bahrain at that time, and to treat them exactly like the Bahrainis, as well as support all the steps that were taken for the liberation of Kuwait including participating with military force in the war operations. Therefore, Kuwaitis highly appreciate the role played by this man, let alone the great honor he has in the hearts of the Kuwaitis.

Prince Khalifa bin Salman returned to Manama in order to continue with his major role in the development process that he began, and to exercise his mission alongside King Hamad bin Essa and Prince Salman bin Hamad in managing the current battle against the global pandemic that is sweeping across the entire world.

There is no doubt about Bahrain’s victory in facing terrorism and sabotage, and the same applies to its fight against the new coronavirus outbreak.

Welcome back Prince Khalifa bin Salman to your family, people and country.
