‘CAIT working hard to promote IT security’ – 8th Kuwait Info Security conference opens

KUWAIT CITY, May 12, (KUNA): The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) is working hard to promote IT strategies and disseminate the culture of using modern technologies, CAIT Acting Director General Qusai Al-Shatti has said.

Al-Shatti made the statement at the opening of the 8th Kuwait Info Security Conference and Exhibition on Wednesday.

The event is sponsored by Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, with the participation of leading IT firms.

It is a good chance to listen to participant experts and benefit from their views and also to exchange expertise, the CAIT chief said.

Held for the eighth year in a row, the conference attracts relevant security bodies in the region, including cellular mobile sector, he said.

Participants will address the latest topics on e-security and means to provide integrated solutions to protect networks and technological infrastructure, in addition to the digital database, Al-Shatti said.

The exhibition will get visitors directly acquainted with the modern technology and solutions for protection in the field.
