Woman jailed for vandalizing friend’s car

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 24: The Criminal Court sentenced a Kuwaiti woman to three-year imprisonment with hard labor for destroying her friend’s luxury vehicle and vandalising its contents with the intent to offend and show retribution. According to the case file, the defendant broke the windows of the vehicle and vandalised its contents.

This was recorded by the victim in a report submitted through Lawyer Jarrah Hadi Al-Enezi, accusing the defendant of damaging her vehicle and stealing its contents. Lawyer Jarrah Al-Enezi demanded that the most severe penalties be imposed on the accused due to the availability of the elements of crimes of vandalism, and based his case on the provisions of the Penal Code in Articles 222 and 249.

He stressed that the accused’s crimes are substantiated with evidence that include analyzing the genetic fingerprint and her presence at the location of the crime, which confirms with conclusive evidence that the accused committed the crime.
