Woman caught shoplifting at shopping mall – Traffic officer under probe

 KUWAIT CITY, Dec 1: A 34-year old Kuwaiti woman was arrested for shoplifting from stores inside Avenues Mall. According to security sources, a number of stores inside Avenues Mall reported to securitymen about some thefts in their stores.

Farwaniya securitymen launched investigations and studied the CCTV records of the stores to discover a girl stealing from the shops. After identifying her, they arrested her. When questioned, she admitted to stealing valuable items from the stores. She was referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations. Meanwhile, an officer of General Traffic Department has been referred for questioning after he posted a number of negative comments about the political situation of the country on Twitter website, says Al-Seyassah.

According to security sources, a detective was observing a Twitter user who was complaining about the political situation of the country. Investigations revealed that the Twitter user is actually an officer of Capital Traffic Department. Since the law forbids military officials from discussing the political situation of the country publicly, the concerned officer was summoned for necessary legal actions.
