KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from the Farwaniya Security Directorate, with the help of Kuwait Municipality raided an apartment in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and arrested five Asians, including a woman, for bootlegging, reports Al-Anba daily. During the raid police are said to have seized alcohol distillation tools, and manufacturing equipment, barrels of raw material and hundreds of booze bottles ready for sale.
The arrest came after police arrested one of the bootleggers while on his way to sell booze and found on him four mineral water bottles filled with booze. The bootlegger then led police to the apartment which helped the authorities to arrest the rest of the suspects. The contraband and the suspects have been referred to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control (GDDC)
