KUWAIT CITY, July 25: As Kuwait Airport will commence its operations at 30% of its workforce from 1st Aug, the passengers departing from Kuwait will have to carry a PCR test certificate proving that they are free from coronavirus, which needs to be conducted 96 hours prior to boarding the flight.
Sources stated to Al Rai, that the test result of the PCR which will be sent via e-mail or text message (SMS) on the passenger phone will not be accepted by the health authorities at the airport, only original certificate of the test result is needed in order to prevent any manipulation or errors.
The Ministry of Health is in the process of accrediting another private laboratory, the approved fees for PCR test is priced at 40 dinars, which is maximum price laid by the ministry, however the laboratories that obtain accreditation can set another price, provided they do not exceed the price set by the ministry.
The accredited laboratories tend to adopt lower prices than the specified price ceiling between 30 and 35 dinars. The sources indicated that the prices set by the government in some countries ranges between 19 and 32 dinars, while in hospitals and centers affiliated with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health it is free to citizens and residents .
