KUWAIT CITY, July 5: From August 1st vaccinated expats having valid residence will be allowed to enter Kuwait provided they have taken 2 doses of approved vaccines in Kuwait as per decision of Cabinet Ministers. No decision has been issued to allow issuance of visit visas on arrival at the airport or by land or by sea.  Sources confirmed that the decision to prevent entry to European passport holders and some other countries is still valid, and will not be allowed to enter the country with visas Tourist or family.

Currently over 400,000 expats are stranded abroad most of them will not be able to return to Kuwait in August as only few have received two doses of vaccine and it is very difficult in some countries to obtain doses of approved vaccines in Kuwait such as Pfizer, Oxford, Moderna and Johnson, reports Al Rai.  The Corona Emergency Committee has not issued any memo to Ports and Residence Affairs on opening visas to foreigners who wish to visit Kuwait although the decision has been issued to allow expats to return to Kuwait from August 1st.
