Verdict today in case filed against ex-MP in KD 118 million money-laundering issue

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 26: The Criminal Court will announce its verdict on Tuesday regarding the lawsuit filed against a former MP charged with money laundering amounting to KD 118 million. It has been reported that the former MP was released on KD 50,000 bail.

The former MP was charged with money laundering after it was found that a large amount of money was deposited in his bank accounts in Kuwait and abroad.

He was accused of stealing money from people after deceiving them as he promised to invest their money in his real estate projects, which were later found to be bogus. He denied all the charges. Two expatriates are also involved in the lawsuit but they escaped.
