KUWAIT CITY, April 9: The field inspection teams formed by the Ministry of Social Affairs to monitor violations related to collection of donations during the month of Ramadan have discovered a large number of unlicensed kiosks for collection of used clothes in some areas of the country. This has become a widespread phenomenon in the month of Ramadan, especially with the start of the annual donation project, reports Aljarida daily.

Unlicensed kiosks are carried away by the Municipality

According to ministerial sources, coordination is underway with the Kuwait Municipality to remove these unknown booths, which are abundant in Jahra Governorate. The presence of such unidentified booths, which are not affiliated with any approved charity or philanthropic organizations, poses a threat to the charity sector, and widely opens the door to intruders and weak-minded people who collect in-kind and cash donations in different ways, completely far from the eyes of the ministry and outside the scope of its control.
