Tutors held for taking lessons in café

KUWAIT CITY, March 10: Deputy Director General for Manpower Protection at Manpower Public Authority Abdullah Al-Mutawtah revealed that the committee, which consists of representatives from Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Kuwait Municipality and Manpower Public Authority, arrested 16 teachers during an inspection campaign on the schools and institutes of Egaila area, reports Al-Kuwaitiah daily.

He clarified that these teachers violated the labor law and were not authorized to work in these institutes, affirming that necessary legal action will be taken against these teachers. Al-Mutawtah indicated that the files of the violating institutes and schools will be closed, and the arrested individuals will be deported.

He revealed that some of these teachers were caught giving tuitions inside cafés, which is against the labor law, adding that they will be referred to General Investigations Department where appropriate penalty will be imposed on them.
