KUWAIT CITY, Oct 17: Actress Mais Kamer says for the time being she has given up comic roles because she believes a true artiste should not limit himself/ herself to a certain role but must be able to play different roles without exception, reports Al-Anba daily. From this standpoint the two current works that Mais portrays are far apart from comedy.

The first work is the series ‘Summer Rain’ directed and produced by Manaf Abdul, and written by Yasser Al-Hamdani in which a large number of stars participate including well-known artistes Saad Al-Faraj and Abdel Rahman Al-Aql and Intisar Al-Sharrah, Nour, Abdullah Bahman, Hussein Al- Mahdi, Hessa Al-Nabhan, and others.

She says, “My role will surprise the audience but I will not go into details.” On her second role in the series ‘Marriage of Convenience’, she says, “The series is produced by Abdullah Al-Saif, directed by Ahmed Abdel-Wahid and written by writer Maryam Al-Hajri. We had completed filming five episodes but work was abruptly ended by the outbreak of Corona crisis. “It has resumed now after major changes have been made terms of participation by the artistes,” she said.

Regarding cinema, she said: “I have been offered a cinematic work, but until now I have not made a final decision, if filming conflicts with the filming of dramas. However, as soon as I finish filming the two series, I will leave for the UAE because I miss my family and it is the most important thing in my life.”
