LOS ANGELES, March 6, (Agencies): Landon Barker, the 20-year-old son of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, recently disclosed that he has Tourette syndrome. In a TikTok video posted on Monday, the musician addressed a follower’s comment about the disorder.

Acknowledging the inquiry, Landon shared, “I figured I’d speak on this eventually. But yeah, I actually do have very, very minor Tourette’s.” He revealed that he has had it since preschool and recounted a specific incident when a teacher accused him of rolling his eyes due to one of the tics involving eye movements.

Describing his current tics as “more common,” Landon mentioned head jerking and jaw movements. He explained that these tics tend to intensify in nervous situations and nerve-racking environments. Despite the challenges, he decided to share his experience, stating, “But I thought I’d just share because why not?”

The Mayo Clinic defines Tourette syndrome as a disorder characterized by repetitive movements or unwanted sounds (tics) that are difficult to control. These tics typically emerge between the ages of 2 and 15, with males being three to four times more likely to develop the disorder than females.

In the comments section, Landon received widespread praise for openly discussing his diagnosis on his platform. Followers commended his transparency, with one person expressing admiration for his openness and another noting that his disclosure helps others feel less alone.

Landon joins a list of celebrities, including Lewis Capaldi, Billie Eilish, McKenzie Westmore, and more, who have publicly shared their experiences of living with Tourette’s syndrome.
