Traffic Crackdown: Over 6,000 Violations Issued in Kuwait’s Recent Campaign

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: Over the last two days, the diligent efforts of the Traffic and Operations Sector, as represented by the General Traffic Department, in Kuwait have led to the issuance of 6,186 various traffic violations. Additionally, 152 vehicles were impounded, and 9 individuals were referred to the Juvenile Prosecution.

Undertaking comprehensive measures to address violators, monitor infractions, and execute traffic campaigns, the sector deployed patrols across different governorates. The outcome of these endeavors also included the referral of 6 individuals to the traffic police and 9 to the Juvenile Prosecution. Notably, two individuals sought by security forces were apprehended.

The campaigns resulted in the impounding of 152 vehicles, flagged for various violations. A total of 199 cases of annoying exhaust for vehicles were recorded, along with the seizure of 12 wanted vehicles. Additionally, (167) radar violations were issued during this period.

Emphasizing the ongoing commitment to traffic enforcement, the General Traffic Department underscores its unwavering stance in upholding the law. It stresses the crucial importance of adherence to traffic regulations to ensure the safety of all road users.
