Tight security vowed in ‘national holidays’

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 24: The police stations will operate at full capacity during the national holidays, and the public security sector has been tasked to follow up and secure the celebrations 24/7, with the participation of 2,000 security men and 300 security patrols from the public security sector, stressing the full readiness and constant vigilance of the security men to impose the prestige of the law and deal firmly with any negative phenomena. He asserted the need for everyone to cooperate with the security forces to ensure their safety and protection, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Major-General Al-Zoubi stressed that the Environment Police will not tolerate environmental violations during national celebrations, especially with regard to throwing waste in places other than those designated for it, pointing out that the dumping of waste that occurs during national holidays such as water bottles, balloons and others will be dealt with in accordance with the articles of the environmental law. “A security squad was formed from the women’s police to intervene quickly and resolutely in dealing with transgressors and violations of the law,” he added. He called on the security men to adhere to a classy approach, be generous, take initiative, and provide humanitarian assistance to the public, especially those with special needs and the elderly.

Meanwhile, the Al-Rai daily quoting the Director- General of the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media, Brigadier Tawhid Al-Kandari said the Department through all audio-visual and print media channels in addition to social media platforms, has issued instructions explaining the ‘do’s and don’ts’ coinciding with the national and liberations days celebrations. Brigadier Al-Kandari explained the awareness media campaign is in line with the comprehensive security and traffic plans implemented by the security sectors and agencies, stressing that the directives of the Ministry’s senior leadership stress the need to strike a balance between upscale interaction with the public and the application of the law to violators and rowdy behavior and negative manifestations.
