RIYADH, June 4: Rashid Al-Kandari, President of the Kuwaiti Triathlon Federation, represented Kuwait at the recent General Assembly of the Asian Triathlon Confederation and the Asian Confederation Conference. The assembly, chaired by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Jalawi, President of "Asian Triathlon," also included the West Asian Triathlon Meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, held from early June to the 4th of the same month.

Al-Kandari described his participation in these triathlon assemblies as positive and successful, emphasizing their aim to foster the development of triathlon across Asia and the Western region. Key figures such as Mrs. Marisol, President of the International Triathlon Federation, Mrs. Zita, Head of the Technical Committee, and Antonio, Chairman of the Competitions Committee, were present to support this endeavor.

During the meetings, the location for the upcoming Asian Championship was determined to be in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. At the same time, the date and venue for the West Asian Championship, slated for December, was set for Fujairah, UAE.

Al-Kandari further noted Kuwait's candidacy for membership in the competitions committee of the Asian Triathlon Federation, affirming the Kuwaiti Federation's unwavering support for triathlon tournaments across Asia. He also highlighted signing a cooperation agreement with Central Asian countries, aligning them with the West Asian Federation.
